RESUMO

High-quality development plays a crucial role in China's economic progress in the new era. It represents a new concept of advancement and mirrors the increasing aspirations of the populace for an improved standard of living. In this context, the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in promoting sustainable development cannot be overemphasized. This paper explores how AI technologies can drive the transition to a green, low-carbon and circular economy. We have established an index system to measure the development level of the artificial intelligence industry and the high-quality development of the economy, which is relevant to the current state of the artificial intelligence industry and the advancement of the economy. Panel data from 2008 to 2017 has been utilized for this purpose. Global principal component analysis method and entropy value method are employed in the evaluation. Through in-depth analysis of the application of artificial intelligence and environmental protection in various provinces and cities, we clarify that artificial intelligence promotes innovation, saves resources, and is conducive to the development of green economy in the new era.

The number of patients with lung cancer is difficultly diagnosed in the early stage. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of CT- and ultrasound-guided percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy combined with serum CA125 and CEA on the diagnosis of lung cancer. 120 patients with suspected lung cancer admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to January 2020 were selected and divided into an ultrasound group (n = 60) and CT group (n = 60), according to different percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy modalities. All patients received serum tumor markers detection, so as to compare the CT- and ultrasound-guided percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy results and pathology results, levels of serum tumor markers among all patients and the patients with different lung cancer types, and diagnostic efficacy of tumor markers, as well as complication rate (CR) in patients. The sensitivity and specificity of ultrasound-guided percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy were 0.880 and 0.800, respectively, while those of CT-guided percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy were 0.909 and 0.625, respectively; the CA125 and CEA levels in the lung cancer group were higher than those in the benign group (P < 0.001); the CA125 and CEA levels of the patients with adenocarcinoma were higher than those with squamous carcinoma, and the CEA levels of the patients with small-cell carcinoma were lower than those with adenocarcinoma (P < 0.05); the sensitivity, specificity, and Youden indexes of CA125 were 0.638, 0.833, and 0.471, respectively, while those of CEA were 0.766, 0.778, and 0.544, respectively; there were no significant differences in CR between the two groups (P > 0.05). CT- and ultrasound-guided percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy is a safe and feasible diagnostic modality for lung cancer, and its combination with serum CA125 and CEA can significantly improve the accuracy of the detection results, which is worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.

BACKGROUND: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is an aggressive type of cancer, associated with poor prognosis. The development of an accurate and non-invasive method to evaluate the pathologic response of patients with ESCC to chemoradiotherapy remains a critical issue. Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess the importance of vascular permeability and texture parameters in predicting the response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NACRT) in patients with ESCC. METHODS: This prospective analysis included patients with T1-T2 stage of ESCC, without either lymphatic or metastasis, and distant metastasis. All patients underwent surgery having received two rounds of NACRT. All patients underwent dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) twice, i.e., before the first NACRT and after the second NACRT. Patients were assessed for treatment response at 30 days after the second NACRT. Patients were divided into the complete response (CR) and partial response (PR) groups based on their responses to NACRT. Vascular permeability and texture parameters were extracted from the DCE-MRI scans. After assessing the diagnostic performance of individual parameters, a combined model with vascular permeability and texture parameters was generated to predict the response to NACRT. RESULTS: In this study, the CR and PR groups included 16 patients each. The volume transfer constant (Ktrans), extracellular extravascular volume fraction (ve), and entropy values, as well as changes to each of these parameters, extracted from the second DCE-MRI scans, showed significant differences between the CR and PR groups. The area under the curve (AUC) of Ktrans, ve, and entropy values showed good diagnostic ability (0.813, 0.789, and 0.707, respectively). A logistic regression model combining Ktrans, ve, and entropy had significant diagnostic ability (AUC=0.977). CONCLUSIONS: The use of a combined model with vascular permeability and texture parameters can improve post-NACRT prognostication in patients with ESCC.
